We want to push past the "athletes go broke" narrative, but I don't know anyone who's batted .1000 on investments. We praise the highs on Athletes & Assets™, but we also share the lows and lessons from it.
Dallas Cowboys Safety Malik Hooker is one of my favorite guests in recent memory. The 9 year NFL Veteran previews the upcoming season and also opens up regarding his personal investing journey. With a video game investment that went wrong, it was a wake-up call on the need for financial literacy and becoming educated on the topics that matter most in the boardroom.

The merger of the week
The Players Company, an athlete led-syndicate fund with education and events tied to it, has partnered with the UK-based Players Fund, one of the first athlete-led generalist Venture Capital firms based in Europe.
This formal partnership is now enabling the companies to co-create global events, develop shared digital infrastructure and communities, launch an education program with the Global Institute of Sport, and deepen athlete participation in the private markets for 850+ athletes.
Shoutout to my guys Fergus and Sheldon on the partnership. Only seems like a natural evolution, another positive sign in the industry of things moving forward.
